I just got my fosters 308 gauges and I am attempting to headspace 3 barrels I have bought. I am using the head spacing guide here. I have the bolt head pulled off the carrier when attempting. I am using 2 bolts and 3 barrels. one of the bolt heads seems to have the striker sleeve close on all barrel...

This is an excellent thread. Keep up the good work rodom and der alder. The shortcuts and current build tutorial are extremely helpful. Can't wait to see how der alder does his cuts and drills his holes.

I think getting it parkerized would look really cool. Bluing looks really nice and I'm sure you could find a competent gunsmith to do it, I just think the MG42 would look mean in black! Not only that but parkerized finish is stronger than bluing.

Hi builders. In my kit, my upper and lower buffer cam piece are a mess, rivets in them and such. Did you clean yours up for your build or buy new? I noticed apex has new clean ones for sale on their site.

If you cleaned yours up, how did you go about it?
