Re: MG08/15
Greetings, I am not a new member, I have not been on the forum for a while, I have been working on getting the 08/15 running. Have it on an MG3 tripod, which much better. Good news is that the turk belts worked and ammo worked that did not work before the Bob Naess Lock Modification with the M1910 s...

Re: Maylaisian 7.62 NATO case seperation in MG42
Thanks for the help, I had a couple of Nozzle Cones drilled out larger. This past weekend, I shot over 2000 rounds of 7.62 NATO and not a single case separated! I did have a few Failures to Feed and a few times that they gun continued to fire a few rounds after letting up on the trigger. So, I went ...

Re: MG42 Trouble Shooting Testing Discussion
Thanks guys, I got two more Nozzles from RTG yesterday, one is marked 11, the other is not marked, I got them with the intent of drilling them out. It seems that factory runs ok without tearing off cases with the 13mm. My reloads run fine with 42.5 IMR4064, with the 11.5 Nozzle. I was going to drill...

Re: MG42 Trouble Shooting Testing Discussion
A good day at the range with the FA MG42. We took it slow, fired a few, inspected each case for separation, tried different size nozzles, bolt safeties, changed a charging handle that caused light primer strikes from slipping, changed a grip piece that caused problems, a good day, solved lots of pro...

MG42 Trouble Shooting Testing Discussion
Over the weekend, I will test and try to verify if the problems with my FA MG42 in 308 were solved with the 11mm booster nozzle. Last weekend, I fired short bursts of just a few rounds and closely inspected the cases. Of fifty rounds total fired, no signs if case separation. I did have some FTF wher...

Re: WTB 42 Booster, 11mm
Yes, thank you John, yes, thanks, I have your book and looked again, yes Nozzle, or Rückstoßudüse. Sorry I was reading the RTG page at the time and used their term. So, my problem with ripped cases persist. I did some testing yesterday, no issues with 8mm Romanian with 11.5 Nozzle. 7.62 Lake City wo...

WTB 42 Booster, 10mm
I need a booster with a smaller size, 11.5 will not cycle 308, the west German one pulls cases apart, was thinking maybe try 10mm, does anyone know where I can find one?

Re: Maylaisian 7.62 NATO case seperation in MG42
This weekend, I am going to try the MG42 again to try to solve the case separation problem. Last time, Of my 5 barrels 7.62 Barrels, 3 barrels had no case separation, 2 barrels had case separation with both Lake City and Malaysian. I want to verify the three barrels that tested good and see if any o...

Re: BW Sonderwerkzeug Werkzeugausstattung
I tried my different barrel bolt combination with both the German BW 7.62 gauge that came with the kit and the Forster two gauge set. The Foster gauges are labeled "7.62 NATO", one is marked "1.6455 MAX", the other is marked "1.6355 MIN". The BW gauge from the kit is marked "Auschuss T : 40 5220-12-...

Re: Maylaisian 7.62 NATO case seperation in MG42
Roger that, I had LC separate as well. The Malaysian, seemed to separate in the middle and the Lake City toward the base? So, I suspect that even thought the bolt barrel combinations head space good, two of the barrels have something going on. I followed Franks instructions and gave the chambers a s...

Re: Maylaisian 7.62 NATO case seperation in MG42
Thanks for the report on the Malaysian. If you don't have ammo problems, it could be a bad Lot or two of my barrels? I have five 7.62 Barrels, two seem to be the problem. I inspected them, Gave them a good cleaning, tested headspace again. I even installed and tried a MG3 BW HK Marked Cam Piece, ("R...

Re: BW Sonderwerkzeug Werkzeugausstattung
Here are photos of the kit. It does have a 7.62 and 9mm no go Gage. It also has a bunch of dummy rounds. They are tarnished, maybe I should put them into the tumbler. I can see that I am missing the small screw driver, hard to tell what else Let me know if you recognize anything. I really need the TDv
