Thanks Der Alder
I really appreciate the info, and the photos. This gives me a starting point, not sure if I have the tall grip frame or not, but at least now I have some where to start, Thanks again and I will keep you posted.

Re: Need help with Wise Lite Gen 2 M53
Hello Everyone It's been a while since I've been on the board . Had to step back and set my Wise Lite M53 semi-auto a side and take a break from it. Well just returned today and had not seen the post from Joe the New owner of WLA. First off it never was my intent to slander his company . I was only ...

Re: Need help with Wise Lite Gen 2 M53
I apologize for using the incorrect term. Yes it is the disconnector typed this in a hurry last night . Thank you for the reply Der Alder, your post makes a lot of sense. What I meant was starting with a full size stock spring and reducing a link at at time . The spring Wise Lite sent me was not ful...

Need help with Wise Lite Gen 2 M53
Hello again I have been out of the country for awhile on a much anticipated trip to New Zealand. Now I'm back home and before I left I shipped my Wise Lite M53 back for repairs. I wanted the gun to run in 308 and was not having any success. The gun kept bending the hammer and trigger pins. This resu...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Yahoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wnana: Went to the range today and discovered that the disconnector was sticking and holding the trigger back each time I fired a round. Took the trigger housing off and played with it and oiled the heck out of it now it works. Although it still will stick every now and then ho...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Well I guess it's back to square one. I'll check the recoil spring , being that it looks like Wise Lite did cut the spring shorter than a standard full auto spring. Again that thanks John for your input.

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Hello Again Was able to get to the range today and try out the 9.5mm booster cone. No LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is starting to frustrate me, same thing the gun will fire eject the round and load a new round, but the hammer is not cocked and I get ever so light primer strikes. The oiled the belts ...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Again Thanks to everyone for your input. As I stated earlier this MG42 semi is a whole new animal. I have built several semi 1919A4 and have never had near the problems. I did call Wise-Lite Arms and did talk to them about the issues with the 308 conversion and they pretty much said I needed to go t...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Again thank you both, I really feel a 9.5mm booster would do the trick it really seems like it is close to working. John you are right about plugging those holes I felt the same way just wasn't sure. Years ago when I was building a AK74 I drilled out the trunnion rivets without removing the barrel (...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Thanks for all your help both John and Richard. Well after talking to John about the MG3 combo 1-piece muzzle cone/booster from RTG parts I understand this is not adjustable. If I want to go to a smaller booster cone I need to stick with the MG42 set-up 3 piece booster cone, barrel bearing and muzzle...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Thanks Blanksguy For the post, didn't mean to re-invent the wheel here just new to this site. Was able to get some more range yesterday, and still no success . Tried some different ammo and still no success even tried some blank ammo with the MG3 blank adapter from RTG parts same result. No success ...

Re: Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
Thanks, waiting to get some range time. I was wondering if something was slowing the bolt down and not allowing it to completely lock up. Want to try some different 308 ammo. I don't think the primers on the Radway ammo are any harder than the Romanian 8mm. The strike on the 308 ammo is ever so slig...

Need Help converting Wise Lite Gen 2 to 308
I have a Wise Lite Gen2 S/A that I converted over to 308 from 8mm. The gun runs fine in 8mm using Romanian 8mm steel cased ammo. However when I try to run 308 in the gun, when I load the gun with the charging handle it will fire that round eject and feed the next round but then I get a light primer ...

Re: Trouble with the safety on my Wise Lite Gen 2 M53
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. That puts my mind at ease that I didn't screw-up the safety.
Now I need to work on the 308 conversion, the gun runs perfect using Romanian 8mm steel case ammo.
But I want to run 308 and I'll maybe run through 2 rounds then I get a light primer strike.

Trouble with the safety on my Wise Lite Gen 2 M53
Need help re installing the safety on my Wise Lite Gen 2 M53 I removed the grips on the grip stick to clean the grips and while the grips were off the safety bar moved and a small pin dropped out ( Looks like a tiny barbell |---| ) Can anyone tell how this goes back together ? How do I remove the wh...

Re: Need help with my new Gen 2 Wise Lite M53
So I want to make sure I understand this correctly, if I purchase one of the German plastic stock and change out my Yugo buffer with a German MG3 buffer won't I still need to transfer the buffer extension off the Wise Lite Yugo one. And will it fit on the German buffer ? Thanks

Re: Need help with my new Gen 2 Wise Lite M53
First let me say thank you to all who replied, this site is awesome ! As for a buffer extension I believe after doing some research I have the Wise Lite one listed in another post. ( looks to be tapered ) I'm beginning to believe as stated above the catch on the 308 top cover is to small to complete...
