How To Use Lewman Arms Welding Jig
If you purchased one of our welding jigs this is the walk-thru on how to use it. We recommend Tig welding your receiver. If you don't want to read the intro you can skip to the photos and walk-thru.. Either way thanks for buying one.. This jig is not a weld backing jig, it is more a truing mandrel. ...

WTS: Lewman Arms MG42 welding jigs

The jig runs the entire length of the receiver forcing a straight line thru the center of the receiver. The jig interfaces with the bushing, the barrel stop, the rails, and the rear buffer s...

We are taking pre-orders for another batch of our MG-x39 conversion kits. We sold out of the latch batch and are only going to be doing a run about every 12 months or so due to other obligations in the shop. So if you want one, have been wanting one, or might want one, you may want to get on the lis...

Re: We are taking MG42 work, Limited and Picky. Pls read
I noted in #7 that some of the Bowman kits have gap issues. I have one here now that had 1/2" gaps in the rear cut but the other cuts were fine. They literally use an oxy/acet torch to cut stuff(per photos from their FB page) so the gaps can be quite large and nasty. They can be fixed but its time a...

We are taking MG42 work, Limited and Picky. Pls read
For those of you who don't know who I am, I am the crazy guy that made the MG42 shoot 762x39. That project was a 5 year R&D project and a thorough grasp on the 42. Since we started selling the 762x39 kits our MG42 work has spiked. Anyway, we have decided to open up to taking some MG42 builds and rep...

Re: 7.62x39 pre-sales list
Forgot to post it, the top cover and tray we are using for the mods are the 8mm ones. I have not started messing with the 308 parts mods. As for boosters, it is not a standard booster.

7.62x39 pre-sales list
Chrome lined barrels are being tested now. We are opening up a pre-sales list. We will begin with customers who want to supply their own top cover, feed tray, and barrel extensions as this will cut a bit of cost off the kits on both sides. See breakdown below. Modify customer supplied parts, supply ...

Re: Something Special we have been working on...
I would be interested. Can I send my bolt and my feed tray and nozzle to you so you can use my parts for the conversion and help keep the costs down? And would want a second barrel as well. RM We are working with a couple vendors to get our rough costs for a better idea. Barrels will be chromed on ...

Re: MG42 Bolt Body Issue
I think I just discovered the issue, it is the DAG muzzle device. When I screw it all the way on I noticed it pushes the barrel back about a quarter of an inch so the barrel is not able to fully extend during operation. Attaching an MG3 flasher hider does not do this. I think this explains why I am...

Our plan is to make a lighter barrel for Semi auto function. Other than that, it should truly be a drop in conversion.

Accessories are on the back burner till the conversions are done. Assault drums, loaders, etc. all will Be R&D projects down the line.
