Re: WTS: MG34 Panzermantel kit
HI guys here is an album. Somehow in my first post i missed adding the fact that this includes the rare original detachable front sight. I was also able to dig up an original dot bolt for it, because of that I'm asking $4000 OBO

Re: Please help me find a legit builder
If I understand correctly, you don't have the rear of the receiver? Rear receiver shells don't just get "welded on". They have to be properly sized/ trimmed, welded in a manner that acommodates weld shrinkage, and then machined. That's a lot of work. Even BRP's full receiver, which requires an FFL,...

Re: Please help me find a legit builder
The short answer is Jared Lewman https://lewmanarmsmanufacturing.com/ The long answer: I seriously doubt all that needs to be done is one weld and rails. Is it deslagged? Is the recuperator installed? Properly? Assuming that the rear receiver was several sections and rewelded, was it done right? Se...

Please help me find a legit builder
Hi Gents- I would really appreciate your help here. I have for 5 years now been in the process (yes I have not seen my kit in 5 years!!!) of having my 42 built. To put a long story short, the second builder I’ve attempted to use, who has dragged me along since June on a project that should have take...

Re: Mg34 Wartime Finish
Thanks for the reply. I know dot switched to phosphate on some small parts on k98 assembly but, unlike most other makers, did not fully switch over.

Mg34 Wartime Finish
Hey guys- I have a question regarding finish on late mg34’s. For example a dot 1945 that by serial number is early enough to have been produced wartime and shows no post war markings but is phosphate. Did dot (or any makers for that matter) switch to phosphate on mg34’s during the war or is that a s...

Semi Build Help
Hi All- To make a long story short i sent my 42 kit off to a friend roughly 5 years ago to build into a semi for me. I just got it back today still not finished, which sucks. Part of the issue was a large torch cut to the right rear of the gun which kept causing warping. I plan to replace the rear h...

WTB: MG42 rear receiver section
Almost done with my semi build but the cut in the rear receiver section has weakened the area too severely. Any one have a back section (or back right) section for sale? Please email me at bigdibbs88@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Thanks, it's mine. I thought it might stir up a bit more discussion seeing as their very existence is disputed. Seems to be no interest, maybe I'll post more pictures if there is

I'm a lowly k98 collector, but this certainly looks legit to me. Would anyone dispute?

"dot 1940"
Hi All-
I recently found an mg34 barrel shroud marked "dot 1940". It has a low 3 digit serial number with no suffix. I didnt realize that dot was even making 34's that early. Is this piece uncommon or am i just thinking wishfully? Does anyone know about how many they made in 1940?
Thanks!

MG42 Catastrophic failures
Hi Guys- I have a buddy building me a semi MG42 at the moment. He is pretty experienced with building them, I'd say hes built 20+ if I had to guess. We got on the topic of shooting it, and he says i should shoot it as little as possible as he's never had a semi go for more than ~400 rounds without s...
