Re: TNW "new problem"
well, I talked to Lance at TNW a month or so ago. Taking his advice I bought a new feed mechanism. This appears to be brand new. replaced the old with the new and still same effect. The round slightly rides up and into the top of the feed tunnel as I guess I'll call it. There it still binds the bolt...

Re: TNW "new problem"
Phil thanks for the response. I've tried for the last couple of night using a lightly oiled belt and 5 dummy rounds I have. Using the sequence you posted which, other than the block I was already doing... same effect. The bolt apprears to be driving the bullet up and the tip catches the arched area ...

TNW "new problem"
Well, I bought this rifle almost 2.5 years ago and decided to shoot it this weekend. The gun is factory fresh, brand new I bought straight from TNW. No I haven't called them yet. Anyway, the first time I pull the charging handle it jams a round between the bolt and top of the receiver. Next couple o...

Re: MG13 wood handles
Looking at those. I wonder if I could fashion them out of dowel rod cut in half and "whittle" it to final size??
I don't want you to feel like your risking those. Is there anyway to measure the length, width and thickness. I'll figure out the holes. Also, is there a taper to them??

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
Not trying to drag this thread on forever but I'd be dishonest not to finish it. After the global warming polar vortex has left and then recent flash storms in Missouri I finally fired the weapon. I, like most have a stash of 50's Yugo ammo. I appeared as if I was going to be unhappy with the rifle ...

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
Well guys. I heard from WLA. My M53 is being mailed back after all this time. It's been about 14 months to the day since it was sent it for warranty work. It has to make a round-about trip back to me, but I am excited to see if it works and finally shoot it. Even though I've been miffed for over a y...

Transit chest dimensions
I tried the search but didn't find any dimensions. Does anybody have the external dimensions and internal supports for a transit chest that they made. MG42/53 of course.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
All, I know this post has gathered some momentum. I appreciate everyone's interest. I spoke to Volgrimmer on the phone today. He has backed up everything on this forum over the phone to me. It truly seems like WLA is trying to make things right to all of us. Now with that being said, I cannot speak ...

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please (UPDATE!!)
Well, I sent my M53 off for Flem to take a look at it. I think I get the award for the WLA BOHICA award. Please read below. I always thought it was something bigger than suggested. The gun was brand new when I got it too. How it left the factory after shooting 50 rounds and passed quality is a bunch...

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
I've tried loading the weapon using the SA method as described. All my belts have starter tabs. I truly think the problem is more severe. Even with the buffer and recoil spring out of the gun the bolt will stick. It does not always move freely. I've spoke to Flemgunner about it and its boxed up and ...

Re: Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
Thank you. I was using a pretty worn Yugo belt. Barely any finish on it. The gun was well lubed. I've had it on the tripod and cycling the charging handle about 20 times a day in the garage because I felt it was too "tight". Been doing that for a while. The feed tray gauge might be an issue I will l...

Take my WLA M53 and fix it!!! Please
I've posted before where last summer my M53 would fire every other round (Yugo 50's ammo). Installed a higher power hammer spring. After all this time I go to the range today to test it out. I swear this thing is a lemon. The damn bolt would cycle just find with no belt. I put a belt in it and the b...

Headspace new barrels
Hi, I found the tutorial on how to headspace barrels. On new US production barrels I need some help. I have a WLA M53 that I would like to get 2 extra barrels properly headspaced and probably reamed. They seem pretty tight. Anyway, my local gunsmith has had my bolt, 3 barrels and extensions since Ju...
