Re: Tnw mg 34 is it good for reanacting

I don't reenact but I do have a TNW MG34 and it looks like the real thing. It should be good for reenacting.

Re: Question regarding TNW MG34 and dust cover

Does anybody know how to replace the spring? There is a pin in the gripstick that holds it. Is it pressed in? and how do you remove it?

I ordered my receiver last August, got it in December. It was around $1800.00 with the semi build kit. Sent it back to TNW with the kit, barrel shroud, receiver pieces, and gripstick in January to have them build it and finally received it back in May 2006.

Ejection problem

On occasion, my TNW receiver + parts kit MG34 will flip the ejecting cartridge case around but not eject, this causes a jam as the bolt tries to load the next live round.

Is there a cure for this?

I have been using 50's Yugo so I don't know if this ammo related.

Repairing the dust cover door latch

Is there a way to repair the dust cover door latch wire? How is the pin removed that retains the latching wire in the grip stick? Is the pin pressed in?

Thanks.

Thanks!! found the latch in the grip stick wasn't engaging the cover. So I tried bending it a bit and it promptly broke...

Any quick fixes for a broken door cover latch?

Thanks

Dust cover door installation

Does anyone have any pictures of how the dust cover door is installed on an MG34. The notches in the receiver and cover on mine would mean that with the door, with the spring installed, would be forced open. There is no latch that would hold the door closed like on the AR15. Thanks... BTW, I have an...

A hammer and chisel will remove some of the looser slag.
