I replaced the TNW firing pin spring with the original spring and now the gun runs perfectly just as I hoped. I used 1970's Romanian surplus and didnt get any weak primer strikes. Hope this info helps others.

Good info. Does anyone know if the original firing pin spring will ignite primers on Romanian surplus 8mm?

Firing Pin Spring
I have a rewelded receiver with the TNW semi parts installed. The bolt is VERY hard to cock with the TNW firing pin spring and I'm getting short strokes on my recoil cycle. Does anyone know if the original German firing pin spring has enough punch to set off primers on surplus Yugo ammo? Hoping the ...

Lockup on Semi
Having problems with lockup. When I have the bolt fully to the rear and release the charging handle the AR hammer pushes on the bolt and creates friction. This is too much for the drive spring to overcome and the bolt stops approx 1/4" from full lockup. It locks just fine without the trigger pack in...

Where is the best place to purchase a complete FAL FCG? All the sites I checked out just sell the indivdual parts. Since I'm not real familiar with this setup and don't know all the individual pins, springs ect required I'm looking for a complete package
