Re: FS: German 42 receiver

Thanks DI, was kind of wondering myself. It is German receiver. It was a bad cut job near the left side markings, NC and MG 42 still intact, the others are not. I'll get pic's if still interested.

FS: German 42 receiver

German 42 receiver. Started out as a four cut all original pieces, grip opening is milled to not accept a full auto trigger housing. Also, a bolt block installed so no full auto bolt can be inserted. No rails are installed. This was once a working semi for my own use. Barrel Gate still has factory r...

Information only here for what I used. I use a modified version of pirate's design. The firing pin extension I turned in a lathe is .600" longer in the front, and I cut .600" off the original firing pin. Made it lighter and elimated slam fires. I have tried wolf .308 to reloads and no more slam fire...

If you need some extra help in locating the exact position where it is binding, use sight black or a magic marker on the buffer to see the wear marks. You can then tweak the area.

I think your recoil spring is still to long and has a lot of strong pressure. Reason I say is, if it is still long, and you may already know this, it is not hitting the buffer correctly to eject. Even once it is fired, it still retains a lot of strength compressed causeing a short cycle where the bo...

Is the new cocking stud piece of metal that was welded onto the bolt carrier for charging hitting the FCG? Check and see if it is hitting the hammer or even the grip housing.

You figure that since some of us bought one of their fine SA MG34 that they would give us a good deal. 3 bills is a lot for a new design and dont even know if it is durable.

Propos is right. Although some of the builds are different out there, I too had to to a lot of fitting one build I did. If the middle was just a little bent at all, up or down, left or right, the barrel would not insert correctly. Some barrels I have work fine, but others dont. Believe it or not, al...
