Re: pics from a recent range trip
Have been busy and missing from the boards a while. Here are a few more: Running the plate rack with the 28. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l1/ThompsonSMG/Shooting/P1070605.jpg Some MP40 with the stock folded. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l1/ThompsonSMG/Shooting/DSCN0581.jpg Unfortunately, n...

These are some pics from our recent shoots. A member's MG15. Re: pics from Aberdeen
I haven't been back since the move started. Have heard that with budget cuts, there are no plans to build the museum at Fort Lee. How much is left at Aberdeen? It was a shame to dismantle it and then shelve the plans for the new museum. Looks like the Hetzer shared the same fate of most of the Germa...

Re: Going price for Pre-86 MG-34?
Just sold a nonmatching dot gun in good shape from an estate for $11k late last year. We made sure it ran and advertised it as such. Have seen them in the $9k to $12k range with the occasional gun in the high teens that is probably wishful thinking. Matching numbers, condition, and accessories could...

Re: some pics of German equipment for Christmas
I'd be glad to e-mail you the original files for anything you like. I have a lot of detail shots of the King Tiger and of others that I have not posted. Also have quite a few of Brit, US and Com Bloc armor if there is anything specific someone might like to see.

Re: AA Tripod Adapter for MG34
I have a post war AA tripod on the way and confirmed Interordnance / Royal Tiger is still out of the 34 adapters for the 42 AA tripod. My primary interest is shooting, but originality never hurts, when possible. IMA lists a vehicle mount and a early MG13 compatible AA head. http://www.ima-usa.com/in...

Sorry, I don't check the boards as often as I would like. Would be happy to e-mail you the original files to play with. Here are a couple action pics. BRP updated site with more 34 kits for sale
BRP has partial MG34 kits starting at $435 listed on their site. Everything has good descriptions and pictures. These aren't cherry kits, but don't look too bad for the listed prices.

Both are live guns. The MP40 is transferable and the MG34 is a presample.

Re: Do these drums looks like postwar refurbs?
There is a really nice English couple who visit the Chantilly, Virginia gun show. They are from Ryton Arms in the UK. Historically they have sold Thompson parts and I bought a beautiful 1928 Thompson kit from them. The last time I saw them a few months ago they had the drums and carriers, new belts,...

Do these drums looks like postwar refurbs?
I purchsed this drum and carrier set a couple months ago and would like to know if it is original or refurbed. The carrier is a darker green than the Yugo green. There is a hint of tan paint under a couple scratches. the carrier is marked wa 43. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l1/ThompsonSMG/misc%...

pics from a recent range trip
I snapped a couple pics during a recent range trip. The 34 is a dot 44 and the MP-40 is a Erb tube gun.
