My friend put a couple on photobucket

We put 1000 rounds through it. There were only 2 times it didnt fire when the trigger was depressed, both due to damaged belts.

Re: A cool picture from this last weekend
I didnt notice until after I posted there was a photo section. feel free to move it. I got some good videos, I'll see if I can post them later. This was the first time shooting it on the lafette. Everyone, including myself was amazed at how accurate that combo is. we had an 18" plate at 100 yds, and...

Re: Lafette 42 - opinions??
Sorry about the pictures, they didn't seem to upload when I tried to post them here. May I ask how you know this is a converted 34 lafette? Also was this conversion wartime or post-war? What do you think to the pads and paint? Thanks A 42 lafette, would have a spare bolt box for an MG42. The one sh...

Re: mg42 barrels
Me too. The 42 sounds BEST with 8mm, but at 1000RPM its not going to be a viable option in the future.K98dkmauser wrote:i like to shoot 8mm

I must be missing something. How do you use shims to adjust headspace on an MG42?marknct wrote:We can order shims for HS if needed.
I think it would be more attractive to a vendor if they could sell just the barrel. Pushing the HS with your extension on them would probably sink the whole thing.

Re: mg42 barrels
You guys are optimistic. Are you expecting to have enough 8mm to burn out more than 1 or 2 8mm barrels? I decided to stick to 7.62x51 in my 42. Those barrels are easy to find new for around $125. Depending on price, I might be interested in an 8mm barrel, but I'll ASSume these are sold without exten...

Re: Lafette 42 questions
Got the missing piece to mount on the top now. The seller threw in about 1K rounds of ammo, unfortunately its nothing I'd trust to shoot, as its all dated 1943, but fortunately the display looks a lot cooler with original ammo in the belt:) The only thing I can find wrong/missing on the Lafette is, ...

Value of MG34 gunners kit?
Sorry for the lack of pics, but what's this worth? It has the tools, sight, but no asbestos pad. Everything is in great condition. A guy gave it to me, and I want to pay him for it, but need to know what its worth.

That was it. That stupid little spring was the problem. Replaced a tiny, little, cheap spring, and the gun roars like a lion now.
