Re: Vid of a Wiselite M53 actually working ok
I love my WLA M53 as well and after a bit of tinkering with the firing pins it runs without flaw.

MG42 cocking handle
I have a Wiselite M53. The only complaint I have with it is the cocking handle. If you do not put your utmost concentration into the handle when cocking the weapon it will come out of the slots and jam up. Anyway to make this part of the M53 more reliable? I have tried tapping the ratchet plate in a...

Re: Sarco "LAFETTE GROUND TRIPOD"
I believe the buttstock has to be removed for the Wiselite to fit, there is a small amount of extra length on that gun.The Germans actually often removed the buttstock when firing from the lafette,so no loss of historic accuracy there! ---bil For me the problem was between the hooks and the front mo...

Re: Sarco "LAFETTE GROUND TRIPOD"
So does the Wiselite M53 fit on one of these without modifications?
I had to modify the mount on the MG3 tripod to make it fit and I do not want to modify a WWII German mount to fit the M53.

Re: Running away...
Called Wiselite today and I did the troubleshooting she suggested. All was well so my M53 most likely needs a stronger firing pin spring.

Running away...
I just picked up a Wiselite made M53 at the last gun show. Today I took it out to shoot and it ran well with the recent 8mm imports. However it would run away sometimes firing up to 5 rounds with a single pull of the trigger! I am not sure if this is a bolt/firing pin problem or a trigger pack probl...
