Re: Wise Lite Builds

I have two kits. One is a BRP original MG42 with matching parts, but no receiver, purchased a loooooooong time ago. The other kit I purchased from a fellow on this forum several years ago. It had a very nice 3-cut receiver, plus a bunch of parts that I do not even remember, except it too was mostly ...

Re: Any Update on Century semi-auto M53?

Shouldn't I be rated as a "Commandant" since I was targeting shooting with my trusty old Mossberg using .22 shorts back in 1948!!!! :D Oh, I shot my first deer back in 1950 on our farm!!! Does that count??? 8)

Re: Any Update on Century semi-auto M53?

I see a LOT of mini-Wacos on the horizon if Hillarytard takes over. Sad as hell!!! I probably should look at getting a M53 rather than spend a ton of $$ to get my MG42 built!! Almost 66; not enough time to wait around to have fun!! :ot: A bit, I guess!! I think that another weapons ban is on the hor...

Re: Any Update on Century semi-auto M53?

You mean Hillarytard might get elected, and bingo, all of our guns are history? Correct!! I need to get started on my MG42 build, but have little time or $$ to do so!!! I have every thing I need, but time and money. :( I saw all the builds going on at Wiselite. What an operation!!! Never thought I w...

Re: Products from TNW

What about TNW doing a build on a MG42 kit? Anyone gone that route? I think I may go that route because the price is quite reasonable, and from all the posts I have seen, they are reliable.
Thanks for the input.

Products from TNW

Has anyone had any experience with TNW and their MG34s or MG42s? What about using them to do a build?

Re: Are these receiver parts weldable?

That is my conclusion also; too much is missing to make a complete receiver section. Thanks for the input.

Are these receiver parts weldable?

I bought a BRPGUN MG-42 parts kit (Grade A) back around when Columbus discovered America (LOL), and prices were still reasonable. BRP had also included a bunch of receiver parts with the kit. I can get the front receiver section as shown in the last four photos, but I still think it is impossible to...

Re: Good news from Brian @ BRP.

Well, veryinc, veryinc, interestinc. I exchanged emails just several days ago, and what I got was that they were all tied up with another SMG project for unknown time. I was interested in the stamped receiver section or something of that nature, and the "already" made front "barrel shroud", but no s...

Oh, ok. Yea, I did not look at the date. The "BRP" caught my eye, and so I was just browsing the thread. No big deal. I am also aware of the poll, but like you say, not much interest. I like to "poke" around and see what I may have missed from time to time. Thanks. Mike I locked that topic back in J...

You may have answered my question I posted on another thread. If IOs reciever is cut-up so bad, then I guess I am better off to wait, and get a kit form Dan, and then maybe sell the parts I do not need. This may be the way to go. MikeS don't think many come with a reciever now just barrel shroud, th...

Re: parts kit

Anyone, I was still wondering if the IO kit is still okay to buy, as far as the cut-up receiver goes. I just received anothe ad of theirs. I already have a kit I bought 2-3 years ago in 8MM, but it came with no demilled receiver. I know that Dan may still have demilled receivers, but I think that I ...

Yea, the sh*t hit the fan already!!! I have two barrels for sale for $1,000,000 each !!! I was just on the IO website and they have raised the price of the .308 barrels to $149.95. It looks like the ban is real folks, the link to the letter posted on the ATF website is on other websites, like ...

There have been numerous posts on importing firearms, and other military equipment. What I have concluded it that it is legal (with a LOT of paper work) to import tanks, APCs, etc. (there is a local guy (Houston) who is doing it all the time) if those military firearms, tanks, etc. are made in that ...

Kits dried up according to all the posts I seen over the last 5-10 years were due to the fact that Clinton "invoked the "Lend/Lease Act” that was put into affect by Roosevelt in WW II. The idea was that countries could not dump WW II equipment back into this country after the War over. For example...

Re: RUN from this kit!!!!!

Yea, I have a 8mm BRP kit, but no cut-up receiver, so it will be another big investment of sorts to get a cut-up receiver or a 80% receiver to get this one off the ground. I know Angola Arms has them for sale, but another big expense. The only parts that are usable are: Triger gtoup, Barrel, Flash h...

How many cuts in this MG42 receiver???

Can someone tell how many cuts in the receiver shown?? They state there is only one cut, and the picture seems to support that. Am I missing something here???

There was a short post over on the http://www.1919A4.com forum about someone on this forum that will do a lot of the work on a MG42 for about $625. I was wondering if this is huntinmtns? Or if not, who is it? Thanks..... He does the following: "As far as cost to assenble a SA MG42, one of the poster...
