sound like there isn't enough threads exposed for the booster. Is your overall length correct? M53 is also longer than a MG42. You are also putting to much thought on the booster. There should not be any play in recoil nozzle. Once everything is correct, you screw on the booster until the recoil noz...

I am redoing my original BRP build steps as a PDF file that has much clearer drawings, new drawings, and gets rid of alot of confusion. Not sure if I can post a PDF file to this web site thou. Should be done around the end of Feb. It should definitly help you out.

Sounds like a hack job if it has an out of battery around 400 rnds. I have had 1000s of rounds threw mine with no problems, I have seen the aftermath of a semi auto have an out of battery, btw it was a WL, very scrarry looking. Glad I wasn't the on pulling that trigger.
