It was complete with the firing cable and bracket that attaches to the trigger guard. Nice mount.

Madsen Tripod
I just ordered one from IMA and they do not come with the firing cable or attachment for the trigger. Does anyone have one that they can take photos of so I can try to build one? Thanks.

Re: mg 13 in 308?
You could have the barrel rechambered to 30.06 then install a .308 ordnance (adaptor) sleeve. I did this for a Jap Type 99 to shoot the 7.62 NATO blanks. Worked very well.

According to Musgrave/Nelson's "German Machine Guns" They did have a gunners pouch like the 34/42.

Re: MG13 semi trial run
Adjusted the recoil spring to the #3 setting and shot 125 rounds of Portugese NC ball. Functioned flawlessly.

Re: MG13 semi trial run
I'll give you a range report after next weekend. Will probably shoot some Romy through it and change out top covers to see if there is any difference. Dennis does great work, have a 1910 Maxim and DP28 that he did for me and never had any problems. Thanks for the input.

MG13 semi trial run
Got my MG13 semi back from Dennis @ Midwest Metal and am going out to shoot it next weekend. Dennis had to cut/lighten the recoil spring so that it would function with Romy 8mm. I'll probably be shooting Turk or Portugese so my question is "how do you know what setting to adjust the recoil spring to...

WTB MG13 Magazine Can
IMA used to have these but I procrastinated. Don't particularly need the mags, just the can.

Re: M53 Parts Kits w/ recievers at Inter Ordnance $699 ???
Going 308 is a great choice. I kept 8mm for purely historic reasons but it is not the logical choice. Last I knew, German surplus 308 ammo is plentiful, excellent quality and relatively cheap, barrels are easy to obtain, and the parts fairly inexpensive to do the switch. Where are you getting plent...

Re: MG34 Transit box contents
I don't believe the Germans had any type of crate/box, whatever, to transport their guns. They were issued to the troops and they carried them. Think about the BAR and 1917/1919 Browning. They did not have any official transport box. The British had a storage box for the Bren but you do not see any ...

Excellent camo on the sled mount. Would you mind posting a side view photo? Is the paint original? I have a sled that was painted with galvanized paint. I hope to restore it soon and think that a camo paint job would be neat. Thanks for sharing your collection with us.

Re: Where has all the good ammo gone?
Back in 1984 I had a major importer tell me that there were 100,000,000 rounds of 8mm in a cave in Europe. This guy was not prone to BS and always produced what he said he would, so I do believe what he was telling me. Price was .0025 cent a round, but you had to buy it all. That is 250,000.00. No o...

Re: Who buys this junk?
Gosh I forgot about 1/72. My Dad made us a HO train layout on a 4x8 sheet of plywood, framed out on the bottom, that he rigged to a pulley system so that it would raise and lower from the rafters in the garage. We would lower it to "playing" height run the train, stage our troops & armor to attack/d...

Re: Who buys this junk?
I was born in 56 so I had all of the Marx Civil War, Alamo and WWII boxed playsets. We had a sandbox and would set up our opposing forces, Dad made us rubber band guns except these shot tire tube strips that you tied knots in to get more tension (velocity). We would shoot each others soldiers until ...
