It would be MUCH easier to rebuild the original sections you have vs making the shells work.
Also bear in mind semi 42s are kind of a nightmare to get running correctly. Thats why most folks only work the FA ones.

Hey y’all have a question. Does anyone remember the recoil spring length check using the gun as a measurement. It was like backnof gun to rear sight or something?
Also is the true length of a new spring 16.9”?

Think I found the problem. While taking it apart for pics and stuff I noticed the barrel bearing looked strange. Turns out there was an MG3 barrel bearing in it.
