Harry--It was definitely a tough decision to let all of these items go. I was really excited about rebuilding such an amazing piece of history. I am glad to hear your appreciation for this item in particular, and would definitely love to see some pics of it when it is rebuilt!

The ATF letters (the first one classifying the SA MG42 as a firearm, from Jan. '06 and then their reversal a month later re-classifying it as a rifle, from Feb. '06) are in the threads that I linked to a few posts above.

Does WLA sell their MG42 products (barrel bushing, camming section, rachet plates) through anyone else besides APEX? I haven't seen that APEX has had any of these products in stock for several months now.
