Re painting a lafette mount
Ok so I got a steal on an mg34 lafette mount someone stored in a garden shed. The paint was all but gone and I had no choice but to strip and reprime it to save it from rusting. You can't tell after repriming and replacing a few parts that were deeply pitted but the paint comes off real easy with br...

What is this part?
What is this part? I found it in a mg34 armorers parts kit. One part is for the mg34 variable rate. The other part I don't see in folkes book. I have other parts from 1935,36 and 37 and bsw marked parts in the armorers e and v ammo boxes

strange early bsw mg34
i picked this up from a guy locally but thought it was weird there is no date on the rear of the shroud. folkes book puts this serial in the range of a 1937 manufactured gun. I have another 37 but there is the large deep BSW on top of the shroud with the big 1937 date below it. which would be earlie...

Re: Where is the MGZ40 illumination battery box suppose to b
thanks!
I take it the original bulbs currently in the cable are 3 volt then? I dont want to fry them with 3 volts if they are not. The bulbs still look good. Filament is intact.
