Question on Gurtfullers
Hello all, I purchased a Gurtfuller 41 and have a couple questions. Did either Gurtfuller have a dedicated carrying can other than a regular ammo can ? If so, what was it ? If a regular can was used, were they externally marked like the P & E cans ? Finally, how does one remove the hopper from the b...

Which Gurtfuller is more scarce ?
I assume the 41 is more scarce since it wasn't introduced unitl mid war ?
If so, do the 41's command a price premium or not ?
Is either loader more practical for use today ?
Thanks for your views and opinions..

thanks for the info, the dealer who may have a can for sale also does have
250 rd belts, what's the going rate for those and how can you determine that
it isn't an "assembled" version ?
Thanks

RE paint, now primer
Thanks to everyone that's responded, I've got some paint on the way from
1944 Militaria. Does anyone know of a good match for the original red primer ?
All the paint I've found locally isn't red enough, any idea's ? Thanks

MG34 Spring Tube from Poland...
Rec'd my spring tube and spare spring from the seller on Ebay. Lots of old dried grease, appears
original to me and I'm satisfied with it. Would do business with him again.

I'm looking for field gray to repaint a 1939 tripod & several early ammo cans.
Would like to find some original colored primer and paint.
Anybody know of a retailer here in the US that has it ? Thanks

In response to posts..
Hello John, the feed tray moves easily, the belt was resting on a can with the gun on the bipod so there wasn't a long hanging belt. Links & ammo are clean & properly loaded. Cannot see any damage to the extractor or ejector. Recuperator, nozzle, flash hider & barrel grooves all clean. Barrel moves ...

Problem with TNW MG 34, please advise..
I have a MG 34 TNW build. First time out I ran apprx 200 rounds of 8mm Romanain thru it w/o a single failure to feed or misfire. Yesterday I could fire one single round, would not extract or eject automatically. Had to pull the charging handle to remove the fired round. I tried changing the gas pres...

TNW headspace question
I had TNW convert an extra bolt for my 34, asked them if they wanted me to send both barrels to check headspace with both barrel & bolt combinations and they said it wasn't necessary.. Figured I'll check it myself whenever I switch out the original pair.

MG42 tripod dates ?
I noticed that Orin's MG42 tripod is dated 1939, did the Germans convert MG34 tripods for use with 42's when the MG42 was adopted ?
Just curious..

More ???
Thanks for the responses, guys. I wasn't aware of the loading technique, I do have all the pertinent manuals from John Baum on the MG 34. I'm going to be using Romanian 8mm, how far do I need to detail strip to adequately clean for the corrosive ammo ? Also, what is a good lube for relubing after cl...
