Hey guys~looks like ravenna armory has some mg3 barrels back in stock. They are 1919 barrels that's been machined to mg3 specs~with barrel extension. Price is 275. seems as good as it gets right now. I think they also have 8mm barrels

I can close my gas valve all the way and it still has way too much power. I think the valve is either broke or just staying in the open position all the time.

I get about 2-3 reloads before the casing becomes questionable. For 7.62 x 51 ~ I use 4895 @ 44 grains. What's weird is that I reload 8mm and shoot it through a Hakim and it seems that it tears the rim off appx every 10th round ~not matter how far I open or close the gas valve ?.

Wow --- thanks for the heads up GB--- it looks like they did a number on the receiver---do you guys think the rece could be bent back into spec ?---and like you said ---it looks like the trunion is there and the recouperator is complete.---I'm still on the fence.

I'm interested in how they "crushed the rece"----please let us know what the kit looks like when you receive it----- it also come with a heavy bolt carrier ? ?----will a standard m53/mg42 bolt head work on this carrier ?

What do you guys like about this deal ?---

I use 44 grains of imr 4895---i shoot it through mg3 semi---fal,cetme, ect--- and jbaum is right--- once you get close to the right load --just fine tune it from there----i hope this helps
