Re: Question regarding TNW MG34 and dust cover
OK, Ive looked closely at my dust cover for the port. The spring that holds the dust cover closed is shaped like the top of a cane. If you try to close the cover by simply pressing on it, to swing it closed, it wont engage the spring. However, if you pull the trigger, the spring will retract (which ...

Well, let me chime in here. For what its worth, I have both a TNW and a Phil Ord dummy. I have the same problem you list with the TNW; the cover will not latch shut. Ironically, the Phil ord dummy, which is built on a matching parts set, latches. I think there must be a mod in the TNW grip stick tha...

I appreciate the help!! :) This is an update on what i had installed on the gun while shooting: 1. 11 MM booster cone. 2. 5/38 dated belt, packed in cosmoline when i got it. I assume it was a new belt, as i didnt see much wear, and now that you mention it, it did seem a bit stiff. I used/reloaded th...

TNW bolt questions
Hello all, I finally had a chance to shoot the TNW 34, and had a few small issues with feed and extraction. I read alot of the old posts, and I think i have a few areas identified that i need to look at. My question is, since TNW does NOT supply a descent manual for their weapon, does anybody out th...

The handle I actually got with a parts kit. It currently resides on the dummy gun. Yes, the one with the sling! :) BUT, the sling is nice for humping it thru the bush, the handle, on the other hand, is really handy to moving the gun in the garage! I just dont know what i want to do with the parts ki...

MG34s
Below are a few pics of a hobby WAY out of control. The gun in the foreground is a TNW semi. The gun in the background is a dummy gun built on a Phil. Ord. receiver. The neat thing about the dummy is the fact that it is an ALL matching example, with fabulous blueing. The first pic is of a few access...

MG34 production dates.
Im sure this is addressed in the MG34 book, but, since i do not currently have one, I have a question. When did production of the MG34 end? I realize they went to the MG42 for ease of manufacture, and economy. And, other than parts, why would they continue to make the '34? I have a DOT 1944 parts ki...

8MM AMMO
Has anyone tried any of the ammo that TNW has listed on their website? Its listed as Ecuadorian 8mm, 1000 rds for $85. This is a real deal if the ammo is worth a hoot. I used to shoot the Romanian 8mm, which was good and cheap. Last gun show i went to this stuff was going for close to $60 for 380 rd...

Guys, I appreciate the info. I have spent MANY MANY hours scouring this site, and yes, there are many bits and pieces floating around. My intent, while somewhat selfish, was to get guys to post this kind of info in one location, IE, post. Then it would be readily available in 1 CENTRAL location to A...

Looking for CLEAR & CONCISE info
Hello All, I am quite sure most of what i have on my mind has been addressed in the past, but if it is, its "scatterd" in 20 different posts. i wish there was a central, sticky post that someone like myself could readily refer to as a base. Having said that, I wish to tackle a rebuild, semi auto MG3...

Hey Jackass (wondering) Get your facts straight. You wouldnt have even known about this gun, unless you did what I did, which was DIG thru the old postings for this gun. I contacted the seller, though the list, and asked a few questions. In my second email, which was sent before the gun was even REP...

MG34 small parts wanted
Hello folks, I am looking for all the assorted small parts one might need to complete an MG34 semi build from a cut receiver. Springs, screws, pins, ejector plate, ejector cover, etc. I have the big pieces, just need the smalls.
Let me know what yall might have!
Thanks in advance,
K.J.

Does anyone here offer builds?
Hello, does anyone on here offer a build "kit" similiar to TNW's semi receivers? Is it possible to have someone "remill" a cut MG34 such that all you have to do is instal the parts kit and have a functioning semi auto? I know the TNW offers kits, but they still require more welding. I'm sure somebod...
