New Law in the UK
I am really starting to despair living in the UK, I've just read that essentially power tools can get you jail time because they may be used to make/reactivate firearms :puk: So as it stands at the minute realistic toy guns are banned, airsoft is looking on shakey ground, air pistols need to be kept...

Re: Proof mark?
I just looked at the pic that had been posted and thought I would check my pictures of my deactivated MG42 because that prop stamp looked really familiar, lo and behold I have it on mine as well no idea what it is though. The crossed swords stamp you can see is the proof house stamp that confirms it...

Re: k98 Sniper rifle opinions
To own a bolt action rifle you need to show "good reason" to own it and have the relevant firearms certificate. Getting a FAC is a pain in the ass so the easiest way is to get a deactivated one. You really do need to jump through a lot of hoops to own a firearm in the UK.

Re: k98 Sniper rifle opinions
Easy way is to ask who deactivated it. If it was Ryton Arms then deffo a fake as they have never imported/deactivated any. You need more photos of it to be sure, ask for lots before you spend almost £2k.

Re: My Latest Addition - MG42
Keep an eye on Eurowar45 on ebay as he often has mg42 parts listed. I think he also sells on egun.de. May be a bit expensive as the last one I saw was £75. Nice MG42 if you keep an eye on ebay there is a chap that sells a small parts kit for the bolt, no naughty parts in it but it has the rollers in...

Re: Need clear picture of Yugo M53 receiver markings.
A couple of pics here. The strange look to the metal is caused by paint!. I tried something and it didn't work and now I have a white smear on the side of the gun. Same goes for the top cover but I used one of those paint stick things this time, but there is too much to fill in and it looked a mess....
