Help please. Gun won't work right.

Post by m4a1sof »

I took my grip stick apart and now the gun will only fire semi auto. I only took the trigger housing parts out and cleaned them and the housing and put them back. I didn't touch the bolt or receiver, both were the same as before when it worked fine. Works as flawless as before, but now semi-auto only whether I pull the top part of the trigger or the bottom part. Did I put something back wrong? Is the attached photo where the trigger rod should be in relation to the disconnector? If I move it farther back the grip won't align back up with the receiver holes, and I can't move it farther forward because it bottoms out against the trigger. I've looked at pictures, watched YouTube videos, nothing works, this is driving me nuts, please help.

The M.G. 34 Trigger System. This booklet has been created by combining the graphics from a WWII MG34 trigger system training poster and information from MG34 manual D 124/1, and the MG34 Glass Slide Manual 131c.
Until now, the complicated design and method of operation of the MG34 trigger system has always been something that had to be accepted without understanding it. This manual has 6 color illustrations with explanations of how the trigger system works in semi and full auto modes. This manual contains nothing about the variable speed trigger system.
Please reference "MG34 Trigger System" on your order.
$6 – includes U.S. first class postage.

John,

Thanks a million. When I looked at that picture a light bulb went off in my tiny brain. I had put that catch pin (the big round pin with the notch in it directly behind the full auto part of the trigger) in backwards. Another words that big notch was 180 degrees off. It runs like a sewing machine again now :wnana: .

180 degrees off... It doesn't work that way. DOH! :wnana: :wnana: :wnana:

If it was easy, they wouldn't have needed manuals. :)
