The cans and basket drums would make fun repaint projects in panzer grey or ordnance tan. The split slings are a good deal too being post war copies of German WWII type with the older type hardware. I stocked up on all of these.

I see the prices are creeping up on these since I first posted them...still good deals though.

I just got done repainting some barrel carriers, basket drums, can and laffetes in both panzer gray and ordnance tan using spray paint from 1944 militaria. They turned out great, I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance. I figure this stuff being yugo made to look like German are good for 'beater' parts to take the range and such. My original German WWII stuff I leave alone in all it's worn, faded and rusted glory. BTW, I never stamp any of this stuff, thats where I draw the line with faking them. But any collector knows this is yugo stuff painted to look German.

BTW, I found that 'Feild Grau Dunkel' paint from 1944 militaria, though actually a pre-war/early war German WWII OD color, is a near exact match for post war West German Bund dark OD green...it matches my unrestored MG3 lafette and AA tripod exactly. So if any of you are wanting to restore or touch up post war West German cans, barrel carriers, tripods, etc...that is a great color to use.

I bought the ammo cans and basket drums. Both drums are great condition, but the ammo cans are in dire need of repaint. Still functional though!
