FG 42 late war photo
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

Some other random pictures....Phil
Does Hans realize that when he pulls the trigger, the charging handle will shred his knuckle? This MG34 has the slow-fast button in the lower receiver...

Re: FG 42 late war photo
His hand looks pretty well clear to me and the spring doesn't have enough poop to do much damage if it did hit his hand. Probably won't fire either with the handle being dragged along.
There is no lower receiver on the MG34 and the selector is the trigger not a switch. Pull the top for semi and the bottom for full. No switch on the trigger housing.

Re: FG 42 late war photo
Early MG34's did indeed have a dual rate of fire switch located where shown in this photo. This was dropped quickly and the gun shown is probably updated with a plug replacing the original switch. Pretty common on early guns. JH
