Re: weld up a receiver (w/no welding experience)
Well after reading about 50 threads, on 4 website and carefully measuring 4 time, I still welded my receiver to the shroud 1/4 to long, had to cut and re-weld, pretty bad at my self, but she is going together pretty good so far.

I think I've figured out what I'm going to do to get ready for this adventure. I'm going to weld up several stainless steel tanks to use for parts washing, hydro dipping and parkerizing. Do something productive while getting in practice time with the welder.

Stainless welds differently then carbon though. Keep that in mind.

Just make sure your welds have good penetration And no pores .Pores are no good and the weld needs cut and reweld.I have done several with shells and rewelding torch cut.I even made inrernal jigs out orf 1/4" copper plate as well as an external one.If you need any help /tips email me at wadevilman@gmail.com .I have repaired numerous builds ,wiselite and valkyrie arms.Theres nobody I havent been able to walk through and I dont charge.
