I used a Wise Lite Grip and it attached with 2 fingers under the out side edge of the hole in the receiver.

to use the Wise Lite grip the grip slot needs to be extended to make clearance for the hammer which is further forward. it hooks to the receiver on the metal that is left after opening up the slot. I never wa a fan of attaching the grip in front like that. it is not solid enough. That is why I pin mine on in front.

that is right, you will need to open up the grip slot front & back. then reinforce the receiver wherethe grip hook is. the hammer is almost perpendicular to the rear of the bolt carrier.

Wow...so eventually the slots for the FCG and ejected casings will be one long slot. What will reinforce the receiver where the grip hook is?

You don't cut all the way up into the ejection port-but it is close! That is why I like either Pirates modified original grip,or PBBs new cast grip.Got one of each. ---bil

I cut all the way through to the ejection port on mine, if you look at later posts you will see where they used one and did not cut all the way through. I have had no problems with mine and like the look without the welded tabs.

csbuceo-no can do-my stuff is in Vt.,and I am in Cali!I don't think that stuff is even legal here! If you don't get pics,I will post them when I get back.Basics-PBB grip is a new casting made to accept the AR15 trigger group.Rear mount same as stock, front mount is via a clip and allen head screw.Pirate has several, and use the FAL setup,on the original grip. The grip is modified to take his side plates and internal bracing. It is mounted stock in the rear, and with a pin through two tabs welded on each side in front.Pirate has an improved version that doesn't require modification of the FAL parts. He may also have one for the AR setup,I can't keep track of the stuff,he keeps coming up with more.Almost as bad as Jbaum and those infernal manuals... ---bil
