TOM R'S ww2 Weasel

Post by TOM R »

you wanted a pic so here she is in all her rusted out glory, it had floaters that weren't included, i have counted 7 bullet holes in the front and 2 in the rear  , unfortunatly 2 of the front holes pointed at the drivers torso :? , i wish she wasn't rusted so bad as I would like to leave the bullet holes intact, if you guys got parts let me know as I will be on the look out, mg42 will be my last gun project for now cause I want this done :D

this is the first 1 I stripped and resold new one is further doen in the thread :D

Nice..where ya live so I can come offer you a little sweat equitity for down payment on a ride or two!!!

I'm still a year or three away from any big toys...all the tracked vehicles I own only push dirt around...Someday, when I have a few extra grand laying around, I'll have some heavy metal...too many toys, not enough lottery tickets.!!

You got a good deal for $500.A trip to Fazio's Steel Mill in Williamstown,NJ will save you a lot of money on plate steel.I guess you must have a heavy duty DC Arc welder for that heavy steel plate.20 years ago I missed out on a good deal for an American half-track from a gas station owner in Northfield,NJ who used to ride it in local parades. He sold it for only $1500 and I was a day late by the time a friend told me about it.

Tom that’s cool what year is she? Wish WW2 German iron were that cheap you spend that much and then some for some insignificant bits & pieces let alone the whole vehicle.

Maybe I am numb from spending huge moneys for waffampted equipment but that’s an outright steal!! Did you at least were a ski mask. :D

With all the parts strewn about it looks like it was hit with an artillery round.

well you should have seen the springs when I took them out, the centering bolts that hold the leafs together were broke on every spring so all the leafs fell out in a pile that had to be reassembled :(

Hey Tom,
You got a source for the rubber-coated steel wire track bands for the Weasel? How about the bolt-on amphibian kit for the M29C?
