MG 42 Sling or 34 Sling??

Is this Sling the correct sling for MG42 or is it for MG34? I think its a 42 Sling? I have ask same question on " Wehrmacht-awards " and was told its a guniune MG34 sling. What you guys think???

If I recall correctly, there is a difference in the width of the grip. I *think* the MG-34 is smaller. A MG42 can be used on both while the '34 sling only works on the MG.34. I could be wrong though. I usually am.

I'm sure one of the experts will be along shortly with the correct information.

I see there is a differents bewteen the 2. 34 sling metal catch looks slimmer than 42 three. Thanks mg42rip. Rob
