if you want a kit the general concensus here is dan at angola or io though pics of io kits i have seen aren't so hot, now if you want all ww2 then brp/aleg arsonal BUT YOU WILL STILL NEED TO GET A REC FROM DAN LIKE SALT DID

now as far as ww2 dan has ww2 rec. with his kits, and the mg3 topcover is supposed to be better anyway, and when you mod the trigger group you lose all the waffens, so that leaves you with needin a 8mm tray, barrel , and booster

did you look in the 'build it yourself' forum under 'angola kits'? there is about 3 pages of discussion on which kit people like the best.

I had real good luck with angola armory.

Woah, when did Allegheny get billed inthe "for WWII parts" club...thought folks have been getting alot of Yugo from them.

The "WWII German" parts kit I purchased from Alleghany included a Yugo bolt and a Yugo gripstick. The spare bolt I purchased also turned out to be Yugo. Top cover is also likely Yugo since it also has the "BK" mark on some feed parts underneath. Not sure of the barrel--no Waffenamts. The only things that turned out to be German were the bipod, buttstock, charging handle, trunion/camming pieces, and the crappy receiver parts. Kind of sucks but there's not much I can do about it. Heck, when I called to ask whether better receiver parts were available, the gal on the phone claimed that they'd never heard of anyone complaining about the receiver parts. That takes chutzpah. Buyer beware with Alleghany if you want German parts.

Bought several WW2 parts kits and just the reciever parts also. Have had no problems building the guns from there, except the ocasionaly missing small part that I can pick up else where. The only problem is slow machinist, never met a fast one though! Just need a bolt assemble, still waiting. How much does Huntsnmountains charge? Anyone..... :) Slowfinger PS the kits were from IO.
