A fellow M53 owner in my neck of the woods posted these photos of the ruptured cases he was getting with his gun when using S&B ammo.
As S&B is the most common type of ammo we've got around these parts, and I've stockpiled quite a bit of it, I'm curious to hear what the "brain trust" has to say on the matter.

Re: S&B Ammo Ruptured Cases
RE: dented cartridge necks. That's caused by the cartridge being ejected into the front of the trigger guard. I designed a bumper to prevent that.

Excessive headspace is the most likely cause of ruptured shells. That can be caused by a worn chamber or the bolt head. Check the headspace and make sure it's within tolerances. I've shot a few thousand S&B shells - never had a problem.
