I am trying to assemble a MG3 Grip Stick but I cannot figure out how this little parts goes in. Which way does it go?
Beveled side down and to the rear or?

If you post the picture here instead of some other site, the pic will still be here when the other site is gone (like we've had happen countless times in the past).

No.
It goes behind the trigger pin and in front of the sear spring pin.

First install the big spring with pin, then slip the trigger into the pack, Install the small "trigger limit bar" in question bevel up and to the rear in the back of the trigger. Then slip the trigger forward and install its pin. This will dis-align the limit bar to keep it from falling out. Then install sear. :D

Yes, its a trigger limit bar. When you pull the trigger the bar hits the top of the hole, when you let go it hits the bottom. The sear, (which shares the same spring as the trigger) will shove the trigger all the way forward in the trigger guard while failing to create the proper spring tension for the sear and the trigger without that limit bar. There is no spring tension until the sear is installed which requires some downward pressure.

I'm just wondering how the MG42 "survived" without this modification. Also, the MG3 manual that I have doesn't show this modification, only the normal round pin that the MG42 has.
