Pirate,

I am currently waiting on a debt to be paid to me and then I will have you convert my gripstick and bolt. :D
Do you have the bolt rail rivets available??? I would just as soon order everything else I need at the same time to complete my build. Thanks,

2 questions:

A. What type of payment do you take?
B. Can I request not to have the bolt or gripstick blasted and black oxidised...or finish work done.
It's better to be silent and considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

I just got my parts back from Pirate. These parts are so awesome. His craftsmanship and engineering of these parts are incredible. When I opened the box, I was not expecting such high quality for the price that I paid. His services and parts are well worth every penny. Save yourself the trouble and pain....send them to Pirate.

Thanks again man. If it wasn't for your help and patience, I wouldn't be as far along as I am now. :rave:

Pirate,

In case the rifle/firearm 922r ruling goes against us, are all the parts in your conversions US made?

If not, would it be possible to use all US made parts?

Should be, they are sufficiently modified. I think the MG42 doesn't even have enough parts anyways to make the list.

(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings US
(2) Barrels IMPORT
(3) Barrel extensions NONE
(4) Mounting blocks (trunions) IMPORT/QUESTIONABLE
(5) Muzzle attachments IMPORT
(6) Bolts US (modded)
(7) Bolt carriers US (modded)
(8) Operating rods NONE
(9) Gas pistons NONE
(10) Trigger housings US (modded)
(11) Triggers IMPORT/US if pirate mods it
(12) Hammers US
(13) Sears NONE
(14) Disconnectors US
(15) Butt stocks IMPORT
(16) Pistol grips US
(17) Forearms, hand guards NONE
(18) Magazine bodies QUESTIONABLE IF A BELT COUNTS. Shouldn't since it is NOT a magazine. Have to look up the lawful def of magazine
(19) Magazine Followers NONE
(20) Magazine Floor plates NONE

Should be fine.

unless they look at it this way

(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings US
(2) Barrels IMPORT
(3) Barrel extensions IMPORT well there is one call it the barrel ext or trunion (not the cam)
(4) Mounting blocks (trunions) IMPORT/QUESTIONABLE
(5) Muzzle attachments IMPORT
(6) Bolts US (modded)
(7) Bolt carriers US (modded)
(8) Operating rods IMPORT if a charging handle counts on a g3 then it would here also
(9) Gas pistons NONE
(10) Trigger housings US (modded)
(11) Triggers IMPORT unless it's a ar or us made fal
(12) Hammers IMPORT unless it's a ar or us made fal
(13) Sears NONE
(14) Disconnectors IMPORT unless it's a ar or us made fal
(15) Butt stocks IMPORT
(16) Pistol grips IMPORT unless you make or buy US parts
(17) Forearms, hand guards NONE
(18) Magazine bodies allmost positive it's NONE
(19) Magazine Followers NONE
(20) Magazine Floor plates NONE

now the real problem is that the same gun is ruled both a rifle and a firearm. as long as modified parts are considered US parts then all is good. if not then we have issues

I'm thinking about the FAL parts pirate uses. He modifies them, so they may be alright. But if he uses US made FAL parts there is no question.

It might be worth a few bucks more, just to make sure.

I have been working out of town since the middle of june. I finally got home last week and am getting caught up on all the things that have not gotten done since I went away. I apologise for the delay and any inconvienience it has caused.
