Yes, their contents were based upon year of issue and whether they were carrying an MG34/42.

But the basics should be:
1. Spare bolt
2. AA sight
3. Broken shell extractor
4. Dust cover (could be rubber or clothe style bag)
5. Starter tab (also used ro pull the hot barrel for the 34)
6. Oil can
7. Hot barrel pad
8. Wrench for the MG13-34

Most of the leather pouches are empty cause folks e-pay off the contents to maximize their profits.

Oops, forgot to mention the contents

YEah, if it was the pouch alone, $350 would be crazy. I've seen the pouches with full contents listed at $800 of late

True...for what you're getting, you have to be into collecting all the accesories to truely appreciate what you're getting for the price. Its by no means a necessary item. For history displays at reenacting events, these are a must for any MG display.

I have actually gotten about 75% done welding my 42 allegheny reciever together. I am going to use it as a dummy since the bearing is trashed. I have two new recievers from angola armory to build into working guns. I will try to post pics here soon. Anyone else made any progress?
