lafette springs

Does anyone know what kind of springs I need for my lafette takedown switch on the back? There is a button underneath the rear cover that you depress and it collapses the lafette for transport. Apparently there are two hook springs inside that give that button it's flexibility. Unfortunately mine were rusted to high hell, so I opened it up and behold, two broken hook springs.

I'm not sure what their original length was as they were both stretched before they snapped.

Frank,
Have you talked with "Greg" at Allegany-Arsenal (?).
He might have the springs in stock.....and the rear-data-plates (?).

Found the aluminum plates (For the MG-34?)

I called allegheny and asked about the springs, they don't have any. I mean, they seem to just be steel double hook springs. I just don't have the slightest clue as to how long they should be because my old ones stretched then broke in half.

I sold my lafette, so I can't be much help. Could someone who has one please post pictures of the springs? They could be easily replicated if he could get an idea of the size/shape of them...
