MG34-Lafette-Inner-Rails..........

Post by Blanksguy »

Guys,
As of today (26 April 2015) there is a set of MG34 Lafette "Inner-Rails" for "auction" on E-Bay-DE (Germany).
(Not my auction).
I know of at least two (2) MG42-Board members that are looking for these parts.........so I would recommend that you talk to each other prior to getting into a "bidding-war".......(?).

Yes, they are rusty......."but" you may be able to cut the required mounting-brackets off of this and weld then onto the inner-rails from an MG42-Yugo-Lafette (?)......or use them for measurements to reproduce these for others on the MG42-Board (?).

Note: Please don't cut up a WWII MG42 set of Lafette inner-rails as I am in need of a set of these.

A link to the auction would have been nice.

If you need a set of lafette rails, contact mg34.com They bought around 75 lafettes and lots of parts a year ago. They still have a lot of parts.

I've tried contacting MG34.com and they told me they have nothing?

I would KILL for an original lafette 34 rail system with the bracket.

I was out bid at last minute, I just could not justify a higher bid on such a rusty piece. Harry

.......and as of today (6 May 2015) there is another set of MG34 Lafette inner-rails on E-Bay.DE (Germany).

This set is missing some smaller parts at the front......but the major parts are there and less rust (?).

You are right, I missed that down in the lower left hand corner. We will see where this one will end up at. I am trying to get one to copy. Thanks Harry

At Knob Creek in April, MG34.com had an MG34 lafette rail setup in one of their bins. It was missing a few small parts, but was more complete than the one in the ebay ad. I didn't think they sold it, but you would need to call and ask for Greg (owner). Anyone else who answers the phone likely wouldn't know it was there.

Try asking for Greg. Tell him I saw it and told you.
