Snoeshoes?

Post by Franz20 »

I couldn't find any articles here on this. But I'm wondering if anyone could provide measurements, what were they constructed out of? Wood and leather? Could someone also post any detailed pictures etc of the MG-34/42 snowshoes?

Thanks!

I'm not able to post pictures right now, as I'm at the SAR machinegun show in Phoenix, but a few of the manuals have pictures of the snowshoes for the bipods. I'm sure you can scale them from the guns in the pictures. The usually has a wood rim with rope or leather between, somewhat like a tennis racket pattern, with a strap or two in the middle to secure the bipod.
