This is how it looks underneat the paint. I will use oxal-acid to get the rust away before painting.

Congrads on the baby. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!!! Will look forward to seeing at least one pics of the new baby. Boy or Girl??

Keep on gathering the parts and getting things ready because there will be a time again when you will get a chance to build that lafette.

Congrats on the child, you must be very proud! As 42rocker, put it, in time you'll get to work on the lafette again. Once again congrats and I wish the best for you and your family.

Need the RAL numbers for bying paint. The lafette is gonna get a 3-tone early camo paintjob.
I belive RAL 6002 green, and RAL 8000 brown. For the Tan, any suggestions?

Been away for some time, but here is an update on the restoration. Got hold of some rear legs for the lafette so its now 95%, just missing the forward barrelclamp with all smallparts.
The parts have all been spripped of paint and gone throug a acidbath for removal of rust and any dirt.
Primer and paint is on. Went for 2-tone camo with panzergrey and brown in a 1939 style. The brown will be applyed when the lafette is mounted all together.

Mounting it up. The T&E is nor repainted but is original color that came out after some hour with scraping of OD paint. The same goes for the rod with extension under the cradel.
