50rd. drum attatchment

Post by tony »

I was wondering if the 50rd. drums attach to the feed tray, or is there something else you need to use these?

Thanks for the great site!

SOME feed trays have lips that extend out for the drums to hook onto. Some don't have the lips and therefore can't have the drum attach. Look at the stickies section, I'm sure there are pics of both types there.

Definitely check the stickies, the different feed trays are discussed in detail which is where I got my info.

Which feed trays are you talking about? The MG3 .308 plastic drums? The plastic drums fit only the MG3 tray.

The steel green 8mm trays?

I managed to get my steel 8mm trays mounted by modifying my "MG2" tray by relocating the drum mounting lugs. I have yet to clean the welds up and repaint, so it still looks like the pics :)
