MG42 slow fire bolt springs?

Post by Ron A »

Is there something as special springs to slow down the bolt and reduce the rate of fire - are any for sale?

Yes you can slow down the rate of fire 3 ways.

1. The Yugoslavians used a heavier bolt I believe its 950 grams
2. Yugoslavians also used a different buffer that is less springy
3. Most obviously the nozzle

I would of course start with varying nozzle sizes ranging from 9.5 mm – 14 mm

is there a reason you need to slow it down? what about the mg74 parts wasn't that the same thing but slower?
Great men are born in fire, it is the privilege of lessor men to light the flame, no matter the cost
