MG42 spare barrel case.
MG42 spare barrel case.
I have several spare cases but none of them have this piece, a holding bracet for the mg42 barrel, so no mg34 barrel will fit. Gess its one of ythe first ones to be made before the container for holding both mg34 an 42 barrels were put out.

One of the projects for the day is to take pics of barrel carriers and post them and work on makers and types of barrel carriers. Sometime tonight or next few days hope to have a master thread started on barrel carriers. Would love to see more pics of this and your other barrel carriers. Love to see pics from other folks also.

Was just reviewing a few of my barrel carriers and I believe that style is the post war style that yugo made. I have several of them like that. If you have found any markings that would relate to German makes please let us know.
