MG42 shell bag on M53

Post by Der Alder »

I shoot my WLA M53 from a MG3 ground tripod. I'm looking at ways to keep from having to pick up my emtpy cases (I save my brass).

I see Allegheny has MG42 shell bags that attach to the bottom of the '42. Does anyone know if these will fit/attach correctly on a WLA M53? The WLA guns don't have the door on the bottom and I'm not sure if that would effect using one of these bags.

I'm not sure looking at the pic how exactly these attach. Anyone know?

I have several of these and I have never tried to put one on my mg42. I'll try to remember over the weekend and check it out if you don't get any good answering posts.

Yes - I'd like to know too.
Please do post results.

Could be useful - for movie use they like the cases spraying out.

But, it is a pain on test fire days having to clear up 300-400 rounds of brass, as we all know, lol.

FYI everyone if you click on the above it's a short video. Which leads to a lot of neat pics and videos in photobucket. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sure that there are several folks that would be willing to either loan gear or help out in uniform if you needed or wanted it.

Thanks 42, let me work on that link - it's not supposed to access the whole account, lol.

Well Pit the video still works but the link to the rest of your photobucket does not anymore. Well I got to see a lot of neat stuff at anyrate, neat stuff that you were showing.

On hooking up a bag just got home late Saturday night. It's 11:57pm right now so I'll try to hook up a bag to my mg42 on Sunday mid-day.

I appreciate the heads up, 42rocker, thank you!
I'll post pics of my guns anytime, it's the pics of me in my speedos break dancing I was concerned about going public.

Looking at the Yugo accessories and their prices, I think I will buy as much as I can - it's going to disappear into collections, and that will be it.

Thanks, on the brass catcher, could be useful.

Pit
I'm happy to say I missed the break dancing pics... Like how you set one weapon on another in several of your group weapons shots. Nice.

Note to self check bag fit later today...
