WaA Stamped belts

Does anyone know if all wartime manufactured belts were WaA stamped?

I got 18 belts from a dealer stating they were all wartime manufacture, but only 9 belts had markings on the male tab.

Anyone shed some light on this?

Have I been sold a pup?

No, half of my belts are only marked with maker codes (cpg & cvo) and nothing else.

Just for fun try slipping an 8mm rd into each of the belts. Are some of them for .308?

I have lots of belts that only have a three letter code and no other stamps. I have a couple that only have a small WaA mark with nothing else. The rest all have dates and codes. Anybody know if late war belts are completely unmarked? - matt

The area of belts and starter tabs is an area that could use a lot more info. Another area for study for someone. I have heard of "complete" belt collections and sure would like to know what makes that list.

Anyone have any good listings?? Want to start a data listing on this site??
