What chemistry of paint did the Germans use?

Tripods, ammo cans, gunners kit, etc.

What chemistry of paint did the Germans use?

I getting back to restoring my Lafette 42 and would rather use a paint chemistry that is as close to that used during the war.
So, what did the Germans use; cellulose, enamel or something else?
