Lafette scopes

Post by pathfinder »

I know that they are making reproduction zf-4 scopes, has anyone heard of someone making new mgz-40 scopes for the lafettes? Seems like a winner.

I don't think that it would be profitable given the complexities of the sight and the very limitted market. It would be great if it did happen.

Seeing what they are doing with scopes right now and the prices. I think that it could be done and sell for a cheaper price however it would need to be done in aluminum not steel. Of course then it could not handle battle field use, butttt. Problem is size of initial order to make it work.

Having never disassembled the scope for a MG3, could the prisims be used for repair parts for the MGZ's that have missing parts? A $80.00 donor would not be too bad.
