MG3 Tripod Optics Battery - Usable??
Just rec'd my tripod with optics and battery box for light. Any way to get the box working? Thanks!!!

It's a very complicated piece of equipment to operate:
1. Insert D cell batteries.
2. Turn it on.
Don't over-complicate things guys. It's a flashlight with spare bulbs in a box, nothing more.

Where is the battery box lid translation? I bought the optics and tripod manuals from John, but don't see the lid thing anywhere.

The MG3 light assembly works quite well with the MGZ-40. I was thinking about possibly making a period style battery box to go with it.
