MG 34 and 1938 lafette

Post by PanzerJohn »

Got this laffete off ebay a few months ago but only got it picked up last week. Laffette and search unit both dated 1938 and it has the spikes on the feet.

Underneath the paint its is plausible that there is original camo three tone paint. If correctly restored such a tripod would be worth a lot. I think it would be worth it to carefully remove the paint. You may have a 1938 factory painted camo tripod!

Inside the search unit where there is no Norweigen paint there is panzer grey.
