Replacing Mg34 extractor.

Hello, my tnw 34 is missing its extractor and I plan to replace it. How does one go about Installing it? I see that brp Corp has a complete original for 40 bucks, but I xant find any thread or article on how it installs. thanks!

Here is a thread with a picture of how to use one. It looks like IMA is sold out of them, but you can find them pop up on GB every once and a while. Hope this helps.

From the pictures in the link it looks like you could make one if you couldnt find or rent one...Do you have the new extractor?

I do yes. mainly I'm trying to figure out where the spring goes, and what retains the parts in the first place.

these were all the parts sold in the kit to replace the extractor.

Okay, managed to do it with a pair of needle nose pliers. So for future folks trying;
Slide spring in hole on bolt head.

piece with peg goes in next. requires extreame tension to pull part back and up so extractor end can slide underneath. Held in place via tension.

It's a whole lot easier with the tool. If you watch ebay, you'll see one for sale sooner or later. They show up about every 2 years. Really... not a common tool to find.
