TNW 34 longevity/part wear - your experiences

Post by gunslingerdoc »

I speaking with a RKI about his TNW 34 (which is absolutely beautiful) today, he mentioned that parts wear was significant.

High points:

10K rounds was about the max service life for MG 34, SA included.

bolt parts/internals (less the SA trigger parts) start off as worn (a problem with many surplus parts gun builds) and replacements are hard to find - ie, good ones.

He has quit shooting his SA MG 34 due to the scarcity of good/new parts. Apparently hes gone thru several parts (rollers, ejectors, etc) with his TNW semi.

What are other owners finding with their guns?
