MG 34 accessories ??

Post by Bossman »

Hello, I just purchased my first belt fed kit, an MG 34. So now I'm looking
to acquire all the goodies to go with it. Where is the best places to obtain the
following:

Spare 8mm barrel & carrier, 50 rd belt drum, steel & alum cans, belts, P & E cans.
Any other items a novice would be needing for this project ? I have a copy
of the MG 34 & 42 CGP book and have ordered an MG 34 Butz manual from Mr Baum.

Any & all feedback appreciated !!

Bossman,

Welcome to the Forum. You will finds a lot of nice, very helpful folks here. I have a SA MG42 built by BRP. A great fun gun that I don't get to shoot enough, LOL. Seriously, the info and folks here are tops!

As to some of your questions, here is a link to the Sportsmans Guide's deal on original WWII ammo cans with four (4) WWII belts: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=148403. I have one of these combos and the parts are in excellent condition. If you belong to their club, the kit is $36. Not a steal, but a decent buy. I think Interordnance has great barrels for the MG34 at a decent price, and they did have some barrel carriers, do a search for thier website on Yahoo, or other search engine. Take a look at this link too: http://www.mg34.com/

Come back often!
